Hi everyone.
I was wondering if anyone has any resources or information on who I can speak to or where I can find something to help with telling our children about their fathers cancer diagnosis.
Both our children (11 and 9) have autism so we need to do this carefully and ensure they understand, the good news is that my husband is in the early stages so he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon but he is having increased appointments and tests as there is more activity going on (more tumours growing)
We don’t want to lie to them and our daughter has already asked so many questions as she has noticed how often she needs to visit my parents whilst we go to his appointments so she is getting suspicious and we can’t keep coming up with excuses.
I have spoken to Macmillan and unfortunately they don’t have any support on this specific area so any advice is very much appreciated, thank you
