me and my fiancée are both autistic. our oldest dd has been showing signs of autism such as dissociation, stimming, sensory sensitivity, etc. does anyone know if autism is hereditary, and how to go about the diagnosis process? we live in ireland and dd is 7, btw.

Children with parents who have autism are more likely to have ASD themselves. I don’t know the diagnostic process in Ireland, but in England you can ask the GP for a referral and in some areas you can self refer or the school can refer.
