Davros · 01/12/2004 09:34

Excellent news. Its amazing how often their first decision is wrong!

Jessica72 · 01/12/2004 09:54

That's fantastic Ladyhawk... it just goes to show for anyone without much experience with DLA.. they will often drop the rate, or turn you down.. but if you know you are entitled to it you just have contest the decision. I have had to do this many times unfortunately. It's extra stress and hassle but worth it in the end.

Fantastic. Really pleased. Well done and have fun spending it, you all deserve it.

coppertop · 01/12/2004 11:06

If you have an income of less than £23,000(ish) you could also apply to the Family Fund if you haven't already. I've just heard that they've given me a washing machine, a tumbledryer and £200 to help with transport costs.

ladyhawk · 01/12/2004 11:40

hi ct sooo pleased for you.Yes they gave me a washing machine and tumble dryer and dishwasher which was great as ds2 would swipe dishes on ther floor as quick as i was washing them..
My hv contacted them for me ,she has left now and i miss her she was wonderful to me..xxxx

So pleased Ladyhawk - it is such a battle and one that I would not have even taken up had it not been for Mumsnetters (you know who you are).

You all deserve an extra special treat - fantastic news, well done. xx
