Tomorrow is a big day in the eidsvold household. Dd1 is leaving me. She is off to 'big school prep ( as she calls it).

Her start of formal schooling. She will do three days in mainstream and two days at the special ed unit transitioning to five days full time by Oct.

That is it - she is off to the big world.

She is dead excited - I feel ill at the thought and very very anxious. Thankfully her 'best' friend who also happens to have sn is going to the same school - so at least she knows one other person.

Have a pic of her in her uniform. We took some pics early in case it was too much on her first day.

Couldn't resist taking a peek, what a gorgeous little girl you have, and she looks very grown up and utterly adorable in her uniform - I love the hat!
How did she get on?

She looks so gorgeous Eidsvold!

DS3 satrted 3 weeks ago, but is being transferred. He looks so grown up in his school 'uniform' (he weras the jogging suit for easy cahnges) and its so very heartbreaking.....

good job this next one's almost ehre LOL!

well she went off without even a second glance - wave over the shoulder. sob! I cried for a good five minutes or more and still feel a little teary and it is almost time to go and get her.

SHe does look all grown up in her uniform. I think she was the only girl not in a dress BUT shorts and shirt hide the pull ups and make it better for climbing etc that she will do.

No idea how she went.

I was a wreck - everytime the phone has rung today ( a lot more than usual) thinking it was school.

she had a brilliant day - went to the toilet when they asked and actually produced - a lot more times than she did at home over 6 weeks

But she had a good day. The teachers were very happy with her. Just have to see if it stays like this when everything settles down.
