custard cream rant

Bloody hell - Trufree have just put MILK in their gluten, egg, nut and previously dairy free custard creams. These are the only biscuits DS2 can and will eat (he's 5, with ASD). We use them all the time for ABA reinforcers.

Does anyone know of any other biscuits (not chocolate as for some reason he seems to react even to cocoa) that are free from dairy, egg, nuts and gluten? Do you think a letter to Trufree might be in order?

Have put this in allergies too, but thought more people might reply here!

sphil - I looked in Asda over the weekend and they had some GF/DF jammy dodger type biscuits, no bits but just jam in the middle - would they be any good or does it have to be buttercream? They were only declaring to be GF but I looked at the ingredients and couldn't see any lurking dairy.

Thanks so much everyone. Will try the Hob Nob recipe with buckwheat flakes, which are gf. The custard cream recipe looks great too. Our tutor tried the Rich Teas today - DS2 flung them back across the table at her (all caught on video!). So will try the Flora cream (yum) tomorrow.

Attila - thanks v much for the offer but I suppose I'd better try weaning him off them if they're being discontinued. HeartinC - will look for the JDs - we have Asda nearby.

Still no reply from Trufree...
