DLA and Motability Cars

Do you lose part of your DLA to pay for a motabilty car ? Is that how it is paid for ? Sorry if this is an obvious question but I can't find an answer by googlling

The mobility element of the DLA is used for the scheme. Most cars use all the mobility element, but a minority only use part of the weekly element. Many also require an advance payment.

I chose cars sub section, if you need a mobility scooter or one for a wheelchair, there’s another sub section.
