At the school my child attends there is a man who’s son is in a wheelchair and has other disabilities. The man is a taxi driver. I see him to say hello too but not a full on conversation. However I notice he parks in a disabled bay but doesn’t have a blue badge. I have a blue badge myself so I’m wondering how this man hasn’t got one for his child. My friend thinks it’s because he’s a taxi driver but surly that doesn’t matter what his job is as it’s about his child? He also got finned not long ago as I seen the ticket on his car when the attendant was there. Is there a reason this man may not have a blue badge ? I do feel I could ask him and help him apply if he doesn’t know how to apply but his English is very poor and I’m wondering if they haven’t been here long and that could be a reason his child hasn’t got a badge. But all In all id like to help this man and his child as I often find he can’t be parked at all if the attendant isn’t around then everyone just parks where ever they fancy and then this man really struggles getting his child to the car and into the car. Could there be a valid reason the disabled child doesn’t qualify for a disability badge? Or could it just simply be the parents don’t know how to apply and I can help them?
