Autistic son waking before 5am regardless of bedtime

My ds is 6 and had a confirmed diagnosis of autism.

He has always loved going to sleep and we have no problems getting him to bed most of the time.

The problem is that he is often awake before 5am and always before 6am. He still has a gate on his door as he used to get up in the night and try and climb up the kitchen cupboards to get snacks or put the tv on in the early hours.

When he wakes he will call me to let him out and then go to the loo and come and lie with me and dh for a short time but then he wants to go downstairs and watch tv on play Minecraft.

Every household has different rules and ours is that the dc only have device time after school on a Friday. The rest of the time the controllers are put away and only dh or I use them to put on Disney plus or similar at certain times, so he knows he can't have them in the morning but he will still shout and bang on the stairs and wake up his sisters to try and get them.

It doesn't matter what time he goes to bed. He still wakes at the same time but if he has a late night he will just be really grumpy.

I'm at a complete loss. I haven't slept past 5am for weeks and I'm shattered. Dh is a deeper sleeper than me so will sometimes sleep for longer but me and my dd are all exhausted.

Does anyone have any ideas???

I’d let him watch tv from 6am if he doesn’t wake his sister beforehand. You’ll all be exhausted otherwise.

Don't make it harder for yourselves.

Let him watch something on a morning, some people are just early risers.
