Moving an EHCP across from BANES to SOMERSET LA

Hello All,
I would love any advice from any of you who have any experience with Somerset LA. My DS is currently at school in Bath and in Year 10 - he's very happy there. The house we want to buy falls outside of the BANES LA and is in Somerset. When I have enquired to Somerset SEND about the transferal of his EHCP from BANES to Somerset, they have told me that they can't guarantee that he won't have to move schools, even though the school he's at is less than 10 minutes from where we would be living and we wouldn't be asking them for transport.
I'm feeling incredibly anxious. I really don't want to jeopardise my son's schooling, especially at such a vital stage but can't seem to get anything more than a standard response when I write to Somerset.

Somerset LA are correct. When you move LA the EHCP will be reviewed, and potentially reassessed, amended or ceased. There is no way to guarantee the EHCP won’t be amended prior to moving.
