How did you find returning to work?!

Im thinking part time. My DD is starting to settle into specialist school, although drop offs and pick ups can be a bit of a traumatic ordeal at times!

I havent worked for years, also care for another family member, but feel some very part time work may be good. What I’m looking at is around 30hrs though, a little more than planned and various shifts…

30 hours is quite high, i was doing 28 and have just gone back to full time which is 35 and it’s quite hard going. Our situation allows me to do this at the minute, Ds is in specialist but it runs a breakfast club and is near dh work so I do drop off and dh does pick up (he does early start and finish). Holidays are the hardest as there are no suitable holiday clubs, we manage by a mixture of us taking seperate days holidays and my mum helping out as she is retired. I’ve worked at my work for years and the job it is they can be flexible with me taking days or working from home at short notice
