Can Specialist School permanently exclude if SN child repeatedly injures staff when distressed/in meltdown?

I’m worried, we’ve had a few incidents now and I know it “goes on record”. They are a fantastic school and very understanding, but I am concerned.

It is always in meltdown, after a severe sensory or emotional trigger.

She can also bear grudges against staff if they have personally triggered her and attempt to run towards them to hit them or scare them for weeks after the initial incident, which I think also goes on record.

Yes, they can as long as they follow the correct procedures. Is the school non-maintained of independent? If so, the government exclusion guidance doesn’t apply but they still have to have a policy which is compliant with the Equality Act that they follow. Have there been any FTE?

my ds was excluded but the next provision was better. Go and have a look but ask the difficult question.
