Dear mum
I am very worried about my son abscence of speech...he produces random.sounds consonants ...recently blows a candel...sincea year he uses some Manaton signes and PECS ; PHASE 4/5
I am thinking to start talktool sooner as he has all the prerequisite skills for speech : attention...focus....imitation...etc
I have done lots of research but I am never convinced by what I read...
- Every case is a case and we can't compare any child to another
- Most professional claim that if he does not speak by 7 years old...he will either never speak...or just say a few words that won't be able to make any conversation....
I am very worried and I hate the negativity in assessing my child but I would love to hear from mums...
I am fed up from the so called professionals...
From my experience over the years...parents have more reliable advice and far much better concrete example...
Please share what has helped your sons speech to bloom and explode....
