My son used to be a hardcore Thomas fan and i found a gorgous embroidered stocking in my Christmas decs yesterday. He won't entertain it nowadays, so if your little person would love and adore it, i'll send it in the post for you. CAT me with your address and i'll post it tomorrow. Merry Christmas. x

Sorry, hit enter before I was ready. If you could please, that would be lovely. DS has Asperger's and he is a huge train obsessive too.

Hi Chocol8! How are you?

Chocol8 · 19/12/2007 09:40

Hi Dingdong - i will email you on my account now. My pc is broken at home so can only email between 9am and 3pm. I will send it in the post first class tomorrow. I'm sure your ds will love it.

I don't think there are any meet-up plans in the offing! How's your DS? Did you know that my DS3 also has an ASD dx now - he's 3.5 and non-verbal, but very sweet .

Oh Dino

it seems we'll be in London soon- is that where you are?

DINOsaurmummykissingsantaclaus · 20/12/2007 11:20

yes we are! When are you coming up?

Chocol8 · 20/12/2007 22:48

Hi Dino, no i didn't realise - it's been so long since we last met, when was he dx'd?

My ds is good, he's been off his meds for 9 weeks today and is doing "ok" without them. He was very poorly and couldn't keep anything down, so couldn't give him his meds. He's happier off them but am reviewing with his consultant in January.

He was the only child to speak at an ADHD conference a couple of weeks back and everyone loved him! I am a very proud Mum.

Dino, we should be taking DS1 and ds2 up in ear;y feb as ds2 wants a trip to the museums for his biorthday pressie

Will see if we can arrange a date where we can meet for lunch perhaps?

DINOsaurmummykissingsantaclaus · 21/12/2007 10:50

It would be great if we could! Would you be coming on a Saturday - presumably yes?? Which museums does he want to go to?

DINOsaurmummykissingsantaclaus · 21/12/2007 10:52

Chocol8 - wow at your DS speaking at a conference - brilliant!

Sounds like there is room for cautious optimism re meds too, hope consultant review goes well.

Ds3 was dx'd in May but I had known really from the previous summer when he turned two that all was not well - he regressed a lot after the age of about 18 months. Before that he was pointing and using single words and giving me a kiss on request, that kind of thing. And it all just gradually ebbed away. But he's doing much better now, although he is still effectively non-verbal ie he will repeat some words and phrases from teletubbies and in the night garden but not with any communicative intent.
