My DD (14 months) has global development delay and epilepsy. A recent MRI confirmed reduced brain volume, particularly the white matter area (that makes all the the connections). Genetics tests have come back fine so far.

Have any other parents out there have any experience of this please and how is your baby/ child doing?

My DD can support head and sit WITH support but all other aspects of development is around 3 months. She has no social skills, gross motor skills delayed, as mentioned and fine motor skills do not exist at present.

The hardest thing in the world is not knowing her outcome. We don't know if she will ever walk, talk, communicate. Just wait and see.... is the advice by professionals involve. Due to her complex needs she is currently under SALT, physio, portage, community paediatrician, GOSH etc, etc..
