DLA due xmas day when's it likely to be paided ???

at post offices it will be christmas eve.very annoyed as child benefit is due then and the P.O is only open half a day.

check with your PO 2shoes- our postmaster is well narked as normally it's Christmas Eve but they're not ap[ying oute arly this year on pensions etc so he ahs to open uip over the days he would normally be closed or the people don't get their cash. he now is opening all day C/ eve, half day B/ day and the rest of teh week.

it was on the notice that it will be in on the 24th and the PO shuts at 12.3o.
(i will just get it at the one on the way when we go out.)

dla is always paided into the bank here though

But the banks are closed and don't accept payments, so wpuld either be a payment christmas Eve or the 27th.

AFAIK it is possible to opt for payments by book- useful when you're on a low income

it's being paided by into the banks on xmas eve rang them today.

Peachy i'm not on a low income was just curious as to when it would be paided - being paided into the bank is alot easier rather than havin the hassle of going to the postoffice

in our PO today they were saying that if payments are due on xmas eve, xmas day etc then you can collect them this friday hth

Hi, We are due our DLA on Wendesday (26th Dec) and have it paid in by Bank Transfer. We've been told we will get it on Christmas Eve (24th) but I am not sure whether this means I cam draw the money out during the day Xmas eve or whether it'll be in the account for Xmas morning!! I'd love the money Xmas eve for last minute items, can anyone tell me if it will be during the day or paid in overnight xmas eve-xmas day? Thanks!!

Should be in Xmas Eve for withdrawal that day- check with the bank but that's how my account works.

ours goes in christmas day so I guess it will in Christmas Eve too- thank goodness! Just ahd to fork out £77 on a harness to keep ds3 in the car- essential but expensive!
