How old is DS?

Antidepressants aren't licensed for use for anxiety in children, however they are sometimes used off license. NICE guidelines for depression in children and young people state Fluoxetine should be the first line antidepressant for children and young people (although for OCD Sertraline is licensed), and should always be used in conjunction with therapy, not instead of. If you want to read more they are here.

Neither worked for DS1 and he now takes Mirtazapine and an antipsychotic. But they do help many. We have a thread here if you want to join us.

Have they offered ADHD meds too?

Dd has recently started low dose fluoxetine and it has helped. Hoping to increase dosage soon though.
I will say, we had a couple of days of hyperactivity to begin with and it did affect her sleep a little for first few weeks. She is on Melatonin for sleep x
