CECTS childhood epilepsy with central temporal spikes (Benign rolandic epilepsy) old name

Hello! We are awaiting the EEG results, but this is the name our Dr has given us. My daughter is 5 and has had 7 seizures in total since may. 3 of them being this week the day after the EEG! Did anyone else have this after an EEG? Also what meds have you been given and do you feel they are ok for your children :) thanks in advance :)

Hi Cleo. My 9 year old ds was diagnosed with CECTS last October following two tonic clonic seizures and an EEG. He’s on sodium valproate and 6 months seizure free.
