I'm expecting DS to be discharged at this point so I wanted to check that I haven't forgotten anything I need to ask the paediatrician when we see her today.

He is aged 7 (year 2), 6 months from a diagnosis of ASD. He is getting DLA (high rate care, low rate mobility) and school are going to apply for an ehcp for him in september. I'm going to ask for a referral to the childrens autism outreach team and ask for a letter for theme parks/attractions that says he struggles with queuing. Is there anything else I've forgotten?

A letter of support for the EHCNA.
Do you need referrals anywhere else? SALT, OT, dietician, physio, CAMHS?
Do you need/want to try melatonin?
Would a blue badge help? If so, a supporting letter.

are you sure hes about to be discharged? my 8 year old got diagnosed with autism and adhd last month and I just assumed the pediatrician saw them until they reached 18, as thats what happened to my partners sister. shes about to turn 17, got diagnosed at 9, but still see's her pediatrician.
sorry to jump on your post, my son has only just been diagnosed so trying to get as much info about these things as possible xx
