We ahd an initial assessment a few weeks ago (children and
disabilities team and childcare teams, as they weren't sure where to
assign us at the time). We gave eprmission for them to get extra
reports, they took some basic details (eg what rate of DLA, what
support we ahd (er none) etc).

Dh took a call today saying tehy're coming next week to talk about
ds3's care needs (the enquiry we made was about DP's for ds1, but
yes ds3's needs are higher I guess if not challenging in the same
way).

What do they want to discuss?

DH is totally OK- says I'm being a silly PG amre. I'm p[aranoid
they've decided ds3 shouldn't get DLA after all (we had to appeal
it) (even though this is SS not DWP!), or they think we're over
estimating his care needs or something- I don't know- not good

What do they really want? To stop me being so blinking paranoid

DS's needs are complex- almost total alck of communication (had
some, lost it again... repeat pattern over about 3 years),
incontinent, needs to be checked in the night as doesn't seem to
note wet or dirty nappies, or wake if anything happens such as falls
out of bed. Absolutely no sense of danger- tried to exit windows as
hosue in a conservation area so landlords nto installed window locks-
that sort of thing.

They've refused to offer us anything for ds1 over the yeras, so why
this interest in ds3?

Ok Peachy, I'm telling you to calm down as requested ............but I don't suppose that helps much does it as it's clearly going to bug you until next week.

You said yourself that it's SS so it's not about DLA. If it's about his care needs would it be useful to make a list with examples so you don't forget anything next week......don't know about you but I find I forget things in the heat of the moment.....and it'll give you something to do.
Perhaps they concentrated on DS1 at the initial assessment and realise they need more info on DS3 in light of the reports received? Why not ring them back and ask?
Please don't lose sleep.
Take care
