her official dx is Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

i was thinking that she was HFA but the paed said they were not too sure where she was on the spectrum but wanted to dx cos its obvious her difficulties are not improving and they want her to get all the help she needs when she starts school next september.

So, maybe nursery will take notice and stop treating me as a neurotic mother when they know best.

Paed is phoning the Ed psych to tell her, shes the one who said absolutely no to ASD back in march, so ill be interested to see what she has to say.

I'm never exactly glad to hear that someone has got an ASD dx, for obvious reasons, but on the other hand it is the first step in getting the necessary help. Well done jenk1 for persisting .

Well obviously i didn't mean it was great news that she has ASD just that it was great that she's finally got the dx that jenk has been fighting for.

magso · 20/11/2007 17:24

How are you? Sounds like you have been fighting for both dcs at once.

At least your dd will now continue to get support Jenk, now she has a dx

Oh Jenk

A proper dx will start to open up doors more easily
