thats an awful lot of money. Perhaps that it. It's got a special needs price tag
Not sure 'dissapointed' should be spelt that way.

I see what you mean, its a new one on me! I thought the full moon could make our kids go loopy so why have a pretendy one in their room? DH would like it....

Skipsmum · 05/11/2007 20:54

Maybe its cos its needs lots of batteries? My AS kids love to smash things to get the batteries out....

FlameFromBonfire · 05/11/2007 20:55

I'm not insane then!!!!

I thought it was something to lure in people desperately clutching at straws, and then hoped i was wrong

My two would love it but I suspect it would distract ds2 from going to sleep.

Davros · 05/11/2007 21:01

Xmas presents cracked then CT?

babalon · 05/11/2007 21:06

Maybe its a control thing??? (clutching at straws here)

strange selling angle

TotalChaos · 05/11/2007 22:13

maybe they think lots of aspie kids are into astronomy (clutches at straws).

FlameFromBonfire · 05/11/2007 22:17

(On a complete aside - where does the phrase "clutching at straws" come from?!?!)

LOL Davros. I quite liked the look of those cuddly germ toys on the other thread too.

Ds2 has a torch by his bed too. It's one of those torches that you shake to power it up so that it doesn't need batteries. Bliss!

I don't know about sn but my DSs would certainly love it!

ladygrinningsparklers · 06/11/2007 12:53

It's made by the same people as the solar system thingy, with the central sun light and the planets that go round and round. DS has one of those in his playroom and loves it, as it caters for his interest in the solar system AND his interest in spinning objects. Vendor has obviously assumed, made by same people so also suitable for SN.

I did actually consider getting a moon for his space themed bedroom but decided not to on the grounds it would distract him from going to sleep. He has a crescent moon wall light instead that is just a light and doesn't do any interesting stuff.
