BATHROOM ADAPTIONS START WEDS NO SHOWER CHAIR???????

8Months ago my old O.T. suggested we have a walk in shower fitted for my daughter who is w/chair bound. I told her measurements etc of the wheelie shower chair that she uses at college.
O.T. then left post, builders are starting work weds and ripping the bath out for the adapted shower room. I spoke to new O.T. this morning and she tells me that the shower chair needs to be ordered???????? when i told her i thought it had been ordered months ago [6] she tells me they could'nt order it then because there was nowhere to store it????[i was'nt asked to store it]Now i'm left with the contractors starting weds and if shower chair not here when they finish 10-14 days my daughter has no way of being able to have a shower WHY THE HELL DOES EVERYTHING GO SOOO TITS UP WHEN YOU TRY AND GET HELP/EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR SN CHILD/YOUNG PERSON?

bloody pain. we have had to wait ages for a sling which I thought was on order.......then found out it hadn't.
Is there some where you can borrow one from?

well the college have 1 but i'll have to ring n find out because i know that my girl is not the only 1 who uses it.
Think i'm probs just a lil stressed at mo PMT kicking in i think my daughters new wheelchair spos to be ready for half term but chances are she'll have built her hopes up for nothing . My son and his girl finished their tour with the circus and guess where they're staying????? even though he left home 5 years ago .
My girl wanted to watch that programme about lad with M.D. tonight there was alot of talk about this brave lads life expectancy, I've never been brave enough to tell my daughter that her b/friend who has M.D. won't be around in 4-5 years time when they have all these hopes n dreams of getting engaged n living independantly .
To top all that I won't be able to have bath/shower for 14 days while work going on in b/room. [daughter boarding at college next w/end]. AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

been thinking about this. I think you need to to tell the ot that she HAS to borrow a chair for your dd.
they do have place they can get them from.

Sorry to butt in salsmum, when is the programme about the lad with MD on, my young cousin died of MD a few years ago now & I would be interested to watch it.
