Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy symptoms before the age of 1

Hi all, my little boy is delayed with his gross motor skills. The paediatrician examined him today and thinks he may be a bit hypermobile in his hips. He is also sending him for a CK blood test to rule out Duchennes etc. Obviously I am now worried that this may be the issue. From researching, it seems that Duchennes is not normally diagnosed until around 4 years of age. Can anyone give me any pointers of very early signs that may be seen in babies of around 12 months old? The blood tests will be done in a few weeks time which seems like a lifetime away. Thank you.

Gosh I'm sorry your tests are going to take so long. I don't know the answer to your specific question but I have two kids who were gross motor delayed due to hypermobility and low muscle tone and they were tested for muscular dystrophy as well as other things. I got the impression it's a thing they do for floppy kids. I was really worried too and I didn't have to wait so long. You poor thing. But if you can get any reassurance from the fact that they just like to rule it out before they diagnose hypermobility, then I hope I can provide a bit of that.
