Dd is quite young (9) and is quite close to starting her periods I think. She has high functioning autism.
She is very comfortable with bodily functions lol and the sight of blood (has heavy nosebleeds) - NOT very good at self care and pain.
Just wondering how your girls coped? Did they prefer sanitary towels, small tampons or I’ve seen special period underwear? Did they struggle with period pain? How did they cope at school? How did u approach it all with your daughter?
She knows she’s developing and has started puberty. She also knows about periods - although hasn’t asked why are about birds and bees!
