Hi, I have posted before regarding my concerns for my DD pointing towards ASD however just looking for more info. She is 23 months now and my biggest concern is she looks through people. It is literally like she cannot see people in front of her totally just carries on doing her own thing doesn't acknowledge them at all this is what's upsetting me most now. We walked past her grandad house today she just acts as though he isn't there :( is there anything I can do to improve this? Her eye contact is brilliant with me and her dad. She actually seeks eye contact often now. She is the same with other children doesn't look at them doesn't want to acknowledge my niece who would love to play with her :(
She has been in nursery since she was 9 months old and they have only just started raising concerns regarding her attention I need to ask them about eye contact & some other things when she goes back however I know if she is poorly/ feeling unwell or tired she seeks cuddles from the staff they have never mentioned lack of eye contact so nots sure.
So this looking through people and no speech yet is this definately looking like autism? She was also a late pointer (22 months) but points at everything now (to get needs met not so great at pointing to share interest.
Thanks
