How to get child to accept help when he doesn't want to be different?

Hi - please could any of you offer me advice on how to persuade my 11 year old (with special needs in mainstream) to utilise the things that the school have put in place for him (laptop, box to rest feet on, locker, use of lift.) He knows he can access everything but doesn't want to be at all different from his friends. Thank you

No advice I'm afraid, but watching with interest. Mine refuses help so much that it's got to the point that the TAs won't engage with him due to rudeness.
