Letter from consultant: Ds might need home oxygen

Ds had sleep study done and his oxygen levels were a bit too low. They'll do a repeat study to be sure, but if it's the same outcome then he'll need oxygen at night.

Oh emkana, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that the repeat study goes OK and it's not required.

Sorry to hear this Em. Hope the second study is better.

If he does need it though it will hopefully help him stay well over the winter.

Thanks.

I'm trying not to worry too much, but it did freak me out a bit.

as the others say, hopefully the next study will be better, and he can manage without the oxygen. sorry you have this worry now.

I hope the next study shows an improvement

geekgirl · 02/09/2007 22:14

I'm sorry emkana

fingers crossed that he won't

dd2 had home oxygen as a baby, it was a PITA but obviously something you get used to...

Sidge · 03/09/2007 15:01

Hope the next study is OK.

My DD had oxygen for about 13 months, any questions just shout.

emkana · 03/09/2007 22:33

Thank you.

If he does need oxygen I'm sure I'll have loads of questions, but I hope it won't come to that.

He's been so well recently...
but we'll have to see how he's going to be now with school starting again and lots of bugs being brought home by his sisters.

Bronchoscopy on Friday, feeling nervous about that as well...
