Do DWP look at original applications and compare with renewals?

Dc was granted one year award. Now time to renew and virtually nothing has changed. Can I just print off the saved original application and post this? Although everything in it is still true, I cant help shake the feeling we're not allowed to do this.

DLA? I'm just doing mine, have you had no doctor's appointments in that time?
The dates will be wrong and you'll need a new statement from someone that knows him.
Some things his peers may now do more easily too.

Sorry yes DLA. Teacher has completed a new statement which I'll include and I've amended dates where needed and have signed again where needed. But the big chunks of text detailing night and day needs havent changed. I'd really just be retyping the same thing if I were to redo it.

Maybe add "this has not changed for X years".
