The house of wee

I can’t stand it anymore and need to vent. I’m sure our house reeks of wee!
9 year old girl with learning disabilities, global development delay, microcephaly, attachment disorder and psychosis.
We finally have an appointment with an OT for a sensory assessment after a 12 month wait.
I’m in tears and completely embarrassed to have anyone in our home.
She likes the smell of wee, she is in pull ups all day but will take them off to wee in her bedroom, over everything. She also loves to pick her pull ups apart and she has started her periods so we now have menstrual blood smeared on walls and into the carpet to contend with.
We have the carpet professionally cleaned monthly, I scrub it daily, carpet shampoos, bicarb everything but it still reeks.
She’s angry because we are having the flooring replaced with vinyl, she likes the smell of her carpet as it is!
Bedsheets are changed daily, she goes through 3 changes of clothes a day. The washing machine is never off.
I feel so guilty for her brother’s and sisters I don’t like them having friends round because I worry about the house smelling.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

So sorry OP, that's a tough one. We had a phase when our daughter was removing her nappy when she'd gone and it got messy to say the least. Is there any possibility your daughter would wear a special onesie designed for kids with SN? The ones with back zips might be good. It worked with our daughter and she stopped doing it altogether. I also changed her brand of pull ups (which I know could be tricky as age range is expensive etc). We also saw our PACE clinic at the hospital, who might be able to help with advising you.
I know it's hard but this could be just a phase Thanksfor you

We changed from carpet to vinyl for similar reasons. It's been brilliant, so much easier to clean and our house doesn't smell anymore.
