I'm interested to know why my ds who has HFA, would be regarded as not fitting the criteria with regards to access to his speech therapist now he's reached KS2 (he's starting y3 in a new junior school)

She described him as having a severe social communication difficulty and has written several strong reports for his statement, and she also organised a social skills group within his school to help him.

On the transition report, under the 'ongoing areas of difficulty' she has ticked 'social communication', and has then ticked the box for 'discharged', as he 'does not fulfil our Key Stage 2 criteria.

Could anyone enlighten me to what the actual criteria is??
