Would like to suggest we get together again at Suze. My suggestion is Friday 12th November but everyone please say if they are interested and what works best for them.

Possibly to another meet up, but I found Suze to be too expensive for me tbh. Sorry about that

heartinthecountry · 28/09/2004 19:48

Yes to another meet-up. Not sure about Suze either - liked it but it did add up.... but of course no useful alternative suggestions. Will need to check on the date. Fri's not brilliant for me as have to take time off work..... Mon/Tue/Thur better.

Thomcat · 28/09/2004 20:56

Well I'd love to make it to the next one. Fridays are best for me tbh, it's the only day I don't work and I can make the 12th of Nov. I'll try and think of another venue. What about if we all wrapped up and went to London Zoo? Oh but are you thinking kids free as much as poss again? How about a Pizza Express in Soho?

fio2 · 29/09/2004 07:08

I cou;d easily make a morning coffee and cake somewhere! without taking dd iout of school but would still have ds. I cant do tues and thurs now and will only be able to do wednesdays after christmas because of my college courses

HTH!!

heartinthecountry · 29/09/2004 09:40

I'll look at how much holiday I have left and whether I could take off another Friday as that seems to be a good day (or might be able to swap my day). I think meeting mid/late morning might be good to give everyone more time before the school run. As there will prob be a few children what about a park cafe as suggested before by someone?

Davros · 29/09/2004 12:23

Agree that meeting earlier would suit me better, I hated racing off early last time. I'm happy with a Pizza Express or a cafe. The cafe in Regents Park is OK, nice environment and not pretentious but the sandiches are expensive but then not as expensive as "proper" food in Suze! Otherwise can think of the cafe in the Royal Academy, very nice and you can have as little or as much as you want, very nice salady stuff, can't remember prices though. Could meet at either of those for tea/coffee and then have lunch..... I will definitely be kid-free but either of the above or Pizza Express I'd think would be fine with children.

I will be getting off at London Victoria so something quite walking accessable (ie. 20 mins) would be better for me Blush plus I would need directions!

heartinthecountry · 29/09/2004 13:01

What about St Jame's Park? There is quite a spacious cafe there (not cheap but not horrendous from memory) and it would be walkable from Victoria. Also there are ducks...

lou33 · 29/09/2004 16:04

Fio, I could always meet you at Victoria if I go. Never fear, lou is here .

Davros · 29/09/2004 17:24

I thought that the cafe in St James's Park (my favourite London park BTW) was recently turned in to a very posh restaurant. Unless there's another?

heartinthecountry · 29/09/2004 17:33

Oh maybe Davros... I was there in the summer and it was a cafe - well, we had coffee and cake. But maybe its changed since then?

lou33 · 29/09/2004 17:52

Park in November when kid free?!!!! BRRRRRRRRR...

Pub pub pub pub!

Thomcat · 30/09/2004 11:05

I'll have Lottie with me most likely so a child friendly pub is good with me if such a thing exists in central lOndon! If not i like the idea of the Royal Academy.

lou33 · 30/09/2004 13:30

Was joking Tc, don't worry. I wonder if we will ever get to meet up irl?

Davros · 30/09/2004 17:12

So what's the consensus if there is one? The Royal Academy might work as its not far from Victoria (nearest tube Green Park) and we can have tea and buns first and just stay on for lunch if we want. Its child friendly and we'd get a good table if we turn up in the morning.

Sounds good. Though not 100% I can come still.

Thomcat · 30/09/2004 17:59

Errrrrr, why are all Fio's messages withdrawn????

Royal Acedemy sounds great, I'm well up for that.

moderatorlou33 · 30/09/2004 18:17

She asked for them to be TC, personal reasons I think.

Thomcat · 30/09/2004 21:14

Oh, okay, thanks Lou.
Hope she's ok

lou33 · 30/09/2004 21:18

She is. Spoken to her on msn.

blossom2 · 30/09/2004 21:22

It was lovely to meet you all at the last meet up. I'm in awe.

Have a great time !!

lou33 · 30/09/2004 21:23

Have you moved yet blossom?

blossom2 · 30/09/2004 21:28

Next Tuesday is D day!

Not really feeling much - a kind of indifferent feeling - not sure if thats normal??

I'm too concerned about how DD will handle it all and trying to stop DH from stressing about the move.

When are you off to Thailand??

lou33 · 30/09/2004 23:10

End of november.

Good luck with the move
