It’s really getting me down.

This morning and this evening, we’ve been told to shut up and called every name under the sun, over and over again. Also swearing. She’s 8 (high functioning autism). She just almost kicked me down the stairs too....

Nothing we do seems to make an impact. She’s very whiny at the minute too. Will shout, hit, kick or scream the moment something’s not right or as she wants.

I’m so down and I can’t help her.

Sounds like life in our house with my DD10. It is just exhausting. Things have been worse these last few weeks, I'm putting it down to too much going on in school with school plays, Christmas parties and the like. It's all too much! Do you think this might be the case with your daughter too?
Nothing is working here, I'm swore at, screamed at and attacked on an almost daily basis. She's still asleep thankfully, after another hellish night last night. Dread her getting up soon and it will all start again Sad

My son is like this too. He is 11 and the high pitched screaming, shouting and crying and has no been replaced by swearing. This time of year is the worst as so much going on. I just tell myself he doesn't mean it he is just getting his frustrations out abs he does not have a filter!!

Has settled this weekend so although coping well and supported well at school, yes I think connected with all the demands of the school week as I think she has demand avoidance traits so it’s hard for her.
She also picks up on my tiredness levels and how hard I find challenging mornings at the minute, despite trying to keep going/not show it
