My friends dd1 has learning difficulties including dyslexsia and so we need one with more pictures than writing. The ones I have are not suitable. Please help.

I know someone who had to prepare her 10 year old dd recently- she is autistic with learning difficulties. She had some help from clinical psychology, and they made a book for her with photos. They also got out the food dye and pads (!) and my the mum was told to show her dd when she was having her own period (sorry if tmi). Anyway it worked and her dd has just started with no concerns at all- completely accepted it.

I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a fact sheet on the NAS website about this.
One of the girls at DS's school went through this recently and they did lots of familiarisation with actual pads, dye, photos etc. It has gone well, could find out more from her mum if you like.

oh I think the one I was going to suggest has been linked to by Dingle. I know I downloaded something that was available for free. See if I can find it for you.
