Booster feeding chair for an older child.....

We threw Ellie's (just turned 3)high chair out a while ago and she has been in a booster seat since, it has a back on it and folds so you can take it out with you.

We remove the tray now and she sits up against the table like her twin Sister.

It has a 3 point harness but she is a bit tubby and the harness is starting to get a bit tight round her tummy!!!

Does anyone have any suggestions of anything that she could go in? She is capable of sitting without the harness round her, but just keeps getting down whilst eating and it drove us mad. Plus as she is heavy, I had to keep lifting her up again and again.

I thought of reigns but have visions of her climbing down and swinging in mid air with the reign straps still round the chair!! (she would most prob enjoy it lots!!!!!)

I just need a booster seat that can be attatched to our own chairs but with a 3 point harness to fit round her tummy!

Any idea's?

Thanks
Angie

Hmm, I think my sister used to have some kind of harness thing that you could just clip on to a normal chair (as long as it has slats). I'll ask her.

social services or OT will provide you with a suitable chair. We have been given a 'sort of ' tripp trapp chair but it was of the more expensive one (400 quid apparently!!) and it is a pine chair that adjusts so they sit at the table properly. get in touch with OT or your HV (to go via SS)

we have a similar chair to fio2 and as our dd is now 4 lifting is becoming an issue......
apparently there is a 'tripp trapp'chair suitable for the child to step onto thus avoiding the lifting

Brilliant, thanks for your replies.

For some reason it didnt even cross my mind to go and see the OT.

The trip trap chair looks ideal, I had a lok on the internet

Will do next week

Thanks again
