My auslan makaton book arrived...

I am so excited - my auslan makaton book arrived. You see makaton is not universal - in fact some of the signs we used in the Uk are not the signs they use here. So we have had to retrain dd - at least one sign - eat and drink and sleep are the same - thank goodness.

She is really picking up signing and so am glad to have this reference book to use with her.

Not sure about toilet though - have been using that sign to tell her where I am going and now she follows either dh or I to the loo and does the sign for us... just in case we weren't sure what we were doing.... I suppose the fact that I go so often now with being pregnant does not help.....

Ah bless her - I like the thought that she thinks she is teaching you that you're going for a wee!
