I am new mother here and loves the forum.
I hope a mum or a SALT can answer my question.
I am very worried about My son who is 4.5 autistic...non.verbal...cannot drink from a straw...cannot pronounce F...and cannot blow a candel...
I had two polarised views on talk.tool...

Some says it is just used for downsybdrom kids....and cannot be useful for autistic kids....as autistic kids refuse to talk ...

Others say it could be used for any autistic child who has speech issues depending on the prob
My son cannot give a kiss...he can only put his lips...he can never put pressure on his lips or squeese then release...
I am suspecting Apraxia of speech...at least in his lips...
Another problem.is that my son has lead poisoning (pika...he shewed a paint in an old house)
Could this lead cause him speech delay?
