Anyones kids take Omeprazole for G.E.R.D??

My 4 year old DS has just been diagnosed with severe grade 3 Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Among his medications he has been given Omeprazole which completely blocks acid production in the stomach.
However - this medicine is a tablet which I'm supposed to dissolve in water - I tried his 1st one this morning and it DID NOT go down to well at all!! He took the other 2 medicines fine - but this was all 'bitty' and not nice.
My question is - do you know if these 'dissolvable' tablets can be taken as a pill with water? I feel he would be much happier just swallowing the tablet whole with water?
Anyone know anything about this???

Phone the medical information of the company and ask them. They will have information on this sort of thing.
