Sports day was cancelled because of the rain

and I cheered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After me being upset last week at the assembly, I couldn't cope with all the kids racing and Ellie running in the opposite direction!!

. Laughed at that one because its sort of the same as I am feeling. Ds1's sports day has been cancelled twice now and has been re-scheduled for next thursday. he can't go because he is in a split placement and on this day he is at his sn school. I had visions of his non-co-operation in the dressing up sprint aswell because he didn't like the particular hat, gloves and scarf which were laid out for him along the track. It is terrible to be secretly relieved I suppose and we shouldn't assume it will all go wrong, but we do don't we!!!

Too be fair, most of the other Mums with NT children were all pleased lol

dnt think anyone wanted to have to stand around for over 2 hrs particulary if they had toddlers!

But at least their child would have ran the right way lol

My ds did his sports day at his sn school, most children use wheelchairs or walking frames etc, so the mind boggles really. They did team games such as throwing bean bags into hoops, passing batons round the circle of children all sitting down, etc. And bike rides on trikes.

Anyway, my ds came home with his team certificate and it was shiny copper. Fantastic I thought, then the penny dropped - that means his team was LAST!!!! Not that I mind of course, and it runs in the family, I was always last at everything sporty.
