Hello! I am sending if anyone can answer a question I have about the assessment processing West Sussex.
My son is now in Yr4 and had his first stage ASD assessment in Yr 2, where they did the ADOS, which indicated he had very clear ASD traits. We have waited 22 months for his second stage assessment and finally got the letter today with an appointment for May.
Could anyone tell me what happens at the Stage 2 assessment? My friend is a senior clinical psychologist in a different trust and she says that they would give a diagnosis after doing the ADOS, so why was West Sussex so different? What else are they looking at?
