Can my LG claim DLA?

I have 4 year old daughter who's got an ASD, chronic lung disease and suffers badly with asthma. She's constantly got a chesty cough, runny nose, gets breathless easily, no matter what weather it is. I'm talking all year round.

Would I be able to claim DLA for her?

Any advice or information would be appreciated!

Yes.... you can claim but what level will depend on how much information you provide and how much actual care she needs.

Does she wake in the night? Does she need overnight medical assistance, does she need help and support during daytime as well as night time.

Obviously she cannot walk far as she gets out of breath and require her pimp... does she have nebulisers or carry oxygen? Do you have any medical reports from doctors, specialists or physio therapy.? Has she even had a lung function test..?

The more information you can put down and the more you can identify in the paperwork how much help she needs then yes, you will be entitled to it...

Don't forget Carers Allowance is you don't get it already and earn under the threshold for it.

My daughter also has chronic lung disease, asthma as well as a host of other medical problems.

Feel free to ask if you need more info
