Im feeling really angery, my sons just got burnt at nursery

My asd son has got a one to one at nursery so i thought hed be okay. I went to pick him up at 11.30 today and one of the teachers informed hed got burnt,but he was ok. Thats all she said, no accident book or anything to sign. So i asked my son, who finds it hard to communictae. The jist of it is they were having snack outside and one of the teachers had a coffeee, and my son had tripped and burnt his elbow with her coffee. To make matters worse theyve gave him some sweets for being brave. Im just feeling so angry, ive phoned school and waiting for them to phone

at this message!! That is absolutely appalling!! Where I live, staff in any nursery setting are forbidden to have hot drinks around any children - ever! I am sure that OFSTED would be very interested to hear about this incident- which is probably the reason the nursery have not filled in an accident report sheet - they would not want it documented obviously!
Complain loud and long. Makes my blood boil to hear about some peoples' stupidity - especially when they are looking after someone else's most precious belonging.

no its not being written in accident book because any other time hes had an accident ive had to sign it. Still waiting for them to phone me back. Hes not going back to nursery,

Isn't the accident book a legal requirement?

good god, i have to sign four pieces of paper when they gave dd a hlf spoon of calpol for a raging fever..... surely this would have to be logged and investigated?!

and surely she's not allowed to have hot drinks anywhere near the kids?

Hot drinks near small children is a BAD idea - why does the nursery allow it?

It should definitely be recorded in the accident book. If they refuse then ask to see their health and safety policies. They also shouldn't have hot drinks anywhere near the children. Where was the 1:1 while this was happening?

an update- ive just had the assistant headteacher at my house, she was very apologetic. She stated that hot drink were not allowed at nursery, that teacher should of have apologised, explained fully what had happened. She is now going to back to school to see the teacher again. She said that this will never happen again and to take my son into nursery tomorrow. But im unsure, as i feel theve lost my trust.

How is your son today?
Have you insisted that this accident is entered into the accident book?
