I feel like no matter what I do we are being let down with dd who is 3.
Born c section with forceps - trauma to the right side of her face
Did everything very late, rolling, walking, crawling ect
She's exceptionally shy and the only way I can describe it is not like other 3yos
She's happy all of the time until you say no to her and she cry's like she is breaking her heart
She doesn't have the understanding of other children her age
She can't draw pictures or letters
She's in her own little bubble
She falls over a lot and struggles with physical movement.
She doesn't interact well with other children or recall things. She has a gorgeous temperament but she is different, almost baby like.
We recently found out she has a cataract so some of it is visual and that is being dealt with. But we also found she has a weakness on one side of her body. This was confirmed by health visitor, gp and physiotherapist.
Gp referred her to community paeds who knocked it back saying it had to come from a health visitor.
Health visitor said she had done referral to physiotherapist and community paeds. 3 months later now we have had physio appt I called paediatrics to be told she has never sent a referral off.
I have called and called and called the health visitors office and the admin there confirmed it had not been sent and have told me so many times (calling every day) she isn't here at the moment but leave us your mobile number and she will call you back.
I haven't had one call. I'm trying to sort all of this out whilst working full time and pregnant and I'm going out of my mind with worry that she still has no referral.
I have sent emails to pals and had no response. I have complained to the chief executive of our ccg and been told I have to wait 45 days for the outcome of any investigation. Can anybody tell me what I've missed? What else I can be doing? We can't really afford to go private. I've added her onto our health cover but can't claim until November. I don't think I can wait that long
