Ed Psych in London (centric sorry) all in centre. Do people travel that far for weekly sessions?

Must be dump (and fussy) but all private Ed Psych I find are in Central London. Now travelling 1 hour each way with 4yo really doesn't appeal. Is this what people do?

Do you need to see them that often? Those we've encountered assess then we had relevant ot and learning support more locally.

Didn’t even know ed psychs did this! We’ve had assessments and recommendations which were then put in place by School and us. Also I am sure there are plenty of ed psychs more locally in London.

Try the Association of Child Psychologists in Private Oractice website. You can put your postcode in and find ones closer to you. Some EP’s do therapeutic work, but you wouldn’t need to go to London for that. Most EP’s do assessment work, and the school carried out the recommendations.
