Wotsit · 24/05/2007 10:20

I have afrind coming, just the dad who has family, I won't mention how many or what the dcs hav, but it causes progressive damage and short life expectancy, Are you Ok so far? As this is abit selfish....how do I manage for 24 hours while he stays without putting my big fat foot right in it when I talk about my dcs who will be around.

Sometimes when you try too hard it backfires anyway...

Please any advice would be great.

Or just tell me to stop worrying.....

Are you fed up with me

is this a very selfish question... I thought it might be...

but I have just read some other bits on SN which got me thinking.....

sorry

tbh i wouldn't worry. you can't hide the fact your dc's are nt and as long as you don't do what my friend did and tell hom what a handful they are you should be ok. I think he wouldn't expect you to tiptoe around. can you talk to him easily?

Wotsit · 24/05/2007 10:41

My DH knows him much better tha I do and DH will be here too.

I just know I will be on tender hooks, but you are right. Im sure he has been in many situations, but I'm just so for him and his lovely family.

I have PMT and I am teary

(sorry - thanks for coming back)

dd's friend had a terminal illness. and we I was just there for the mum. other than that i treated him as normal as possible. why don't you ask again in sn. I am sure there are people on here who can give you some good advice.(and won't mind)
