I’m going back to work in 3 weeks from maternity leave. I’ve sorted my childminder out and the kids are due to start in a couple of weeks.
I’ve added my childcare provider into the online universal credit system and I thought it would ask me what I pay a week but instead it asks you to put in what you’ve paid AFTER youve paid it. I’m not going to be able to afford the payments without the help from universal credits it’s over £1000 a month and I need to pay my bills too.
Also wondering if I have two wages within the period they calculate what I’ll get for this month, will that affect how much of the childcare they are willing to pay me?
Can anyone who already claims help with childcare give advice on how they manage this? I’m so confused
