Baby Luke was born yesterday at 1.30am and no-one noticed anything was wrong until late afternoon when parents kept saying he was floppy. Luke is their ds2 (ds 1 is 21 months). Consultant is 99% sure he has Downs but are waiting for tests - which will take a week.

What support can we give? Should we give them some time or phone soon to congratulate? (We live @ 4 hours away).

Do exactly what you'd do with any other baby. Phone them to say congratulations, send flowers, present, whatever you did for baby no1.

Agree with Aloha, do exactly as you would have done if the baby didn't have DS.
