Hi there have put my daughter on a gluten & dairy free diet as she has been diagnosed with autism. Would like to hear from any others who have/had tried this.

There have been quite a few posts about this here - you might want to run a search (try GF/CF as well as gluten/dairy spelled out).

We have been doing the diet (also no soy) for 1 year now with DS who just turned 6 and has HFA. We started to see results within about 6 weeks although the first 2 weeks were a bit rough with some regressive behaviour (apparently this is quite normal). One year on he has made tons of progress in terms of eye contact, focus/attentiveness, and use of language to communicate. We are convinced the diet has really helped.

Good luck!

I have had her on this diet since aug 06 she does seem to have benefited from it she has gained weight & her social communication has improved. I have read that it can take up to a year to see any changes, thanks anyway it,s just good to know there are others in the same situation.
