My son is 25 Months and has a global delay, we are also under a consultant as it's suspected he could also have mild autism. Our HV has just applied to the early years forum for him. I've just received a letter through saying that they will be discussing him at the next meeting, I've also received a letter through to say the consultant will be going into his nursery to observe him in a months time and then we'll have a meeting with her and the nursery staff to discuss him. Has anyone been through this before? I have very little idea what the early years forum actually is and I have no idea what to expect in these meetings! Obviously i've asked the consultant and HV but they haven't really been able to give much info. What will she be looking for whilst observing him? Any advice on what I can expect/what will happen during or after these meetings would be helpful. Thank you
