DS4 has just had a marathon OT session and it brought a tear to my eye.

He has GDD and low tone and the OT has been doing lots of hand/eye stuff with him.

Today he worked with her, fully involved for an hour. He played a game where he took items from a feely bag. He had a monkey, a spoon and a pot. OT said "Can you feed the monkey?" and blow me down he did. He pretended to feed the monkey and gave it toys to play with. I have never seen him pretend or respond to a command before, it made me grin and well up a bit.

I love it when he has these little bursts of progress, keeps giving me hope.

Ohh, I know how you are feeling.
When DS shows signs of improvement it just really makes me feel that the effort is worthed. I am filled with new energy.

Oh wow - pretend play is brilliant! . Well done to your DS.

His other big breakthrough today is the ability to blow really big raspberries. He has been crawling around the garden rasping away, and because it made me laugh he keeps doing it. Demonstrated beautifully to DH when he gave him a bath tonight too.
