Hi i have a 15 year old son that has a habit of running off unannounced when things get to much. Is there a way to prevent this happening and him finding him self in a worse situation thank you so much

God that a hard one
If he was
Younger I would suggest hat you held
Him
In a cuddle kind of way, is there somewhere he could just run to like a safe place does he have this level of understanding?

yeah it is no level of understanding at all

Has he come back of his own accord before I know it sounds harsh but would be be scared if the police picked him up might stop him next time x I know his worked with a friend who's child is autistic although all children are different x

If he has no understanding then send reins might work. Alternatively try to avoid the triggers. Mine is high functioning but not high coping. Also runs off. Not chasing him works sometimes. Keeping the front door locked helpful others. It is really hard.
